Forest Park Forever is a private nonprofit founded in 1986 to help restore and maintain Forest Park.

The Missouri Dept of Conservation provides a Field Guide with descriptions of 18 different species of turtles - many of which can be found in Forest Park.

The St. Louis Box Turtle Project was launched in 2012 by the Saint Louis Zoo Institute for Conservation Medicine.

The Forest Park Living Lab studies the health, movement, diversity, and interactions of Forest Park’s entire ecosystem.
